An interesting apartment building along Mollergata.

The silhouette in the foreground is some sort of utility box, standing about 10 feet tall.

The boxes are scattered around the city and they have a cool art deco design, but I couldn't figure out what they were used for. Several years after I posed this page, a resident of Oslo, Live Heltberg, wrote to say that they are little elevators that lower utility workers down to electric substations.
